| Obverse description | Within a recessed rectangular frame at left, a three-quarter facing bust of Mihály Thurner, mayor of Sopron during the 1921 plebiscite, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail; his name THURNER MIHÁLY inscribed vertically along the right edge of the inner frame. To the right of the frame, a detailed depiction of the iconic Fire Watch Tower (Tűztorony) of Sopron rises prominently from its arched gate base to its ornate baroque crown.
