Obverse description Within a recessed rectangular frame at left, a three-quarter facing bust of Mihály Thurner, mayor of Sopron during the 1921 plebiscite, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail; his name THURNER MIHÁLY inscribed vertically along the right edge of the inner frame. To the right of the frame, a detailed depiction of the iconic Fire Watch Tower (Tűztorony) of Sopron rises prominently from its arched gate base to its ornate baroque crown. The legend A LEGHŰSÉGESEBB VÁROS SOPRON appears along the upper field, with the mint mark BP. in the lower right of the portrait frame. The inscriptions MAGYARORSZÁG and 3000 FORINT are placed in two lines across the lower field within a recessed border.
