Opmerkingen

The sum coupon series issued by Uzbekistan in 1992–1993 served as a transitional currency during the chaotic period following the Soviet collapse, before the permanent sum was introduced in 1994. These coupons were intended to be temporary — pegged loosely to the ruble while insulating the domestic economy from hyperinflationary pressure bleeding in from Russia after the ruble zone began fragmenting.

The 3000 denomination reflects how quickly that transitional logic unraveled. Inflation rendered lower coupons worthless within months, forcing rapid issuance of higher face values that had never been anticipated when the series was designed.
