| Obverse description | Facing effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) depicted as a young man, wearing spectacles and elaborately embroidered royal regalia with a decorative collar and pendant order, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. A circular Thai-script legend surrounds the portrait along the upper and lateral periphery, giving the King's full royal titles.
