| Reverse description | The reverse presents a commanding close-up portrait bust of a Bodhisattva figure, rendered in exceptionally fine high relief and occupying nearly the entire field, depicted facing slightly to the viewer's left with serene, idealized Tang Dynasty facial features, elaborate coiffure, and flowing draped robes. A large ornate circular nimbus with flame and scrollwork decoration fills the background field, executed with deeply incised contrast work against a mirror-polished ground. The denomination 300元 is inscribed in Arabic numerals and Chinese characters at the lower left of the field. |
