| Obverse description | Central field displays a traditional Nepalese tantric yantra design composed of interlocking geometric panels and decorative cartouches, incorporating the royal name legend in Devanagari script reading Sri 5 Maharajadhiraja Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev. The central medallion bears a small crowned royal cipher, flanked by a stylised sun motif to the left and additional ornamental emblems including a lotus bud and ceremonial objects within the surrounding panels. The Bikram Sambat date 2044 appears in Devanagari numerals at the base of the central design. A beaded border encircles the entire composition, framing the elaborate royal yantra device. |
