| Obverse description | Central field displays a highly stylized depiction of the Golden Fleece, rendered as an ornate ram's pelt suspended from crossed oak branches, with elaborate curling scroll-work throughout the fleece rendered in high relief. The design draws on ancient Colchian goldsmithing traditions, referencing the mythological fleece sought by Jason and the Argonauts. The circular legend along the upper periphery reads in Georgian script at left and in Latin capitals at right: 'GOLDEN FLEECE'. Along the lower arc, the inscription '5 OZ GOLD 999,9' denotes the coin's weight and fineness. A finely toothed inner border frames the legend on the inner edge of the rim. |

| Reverse description | The central field presents a detailed depiction of the Argo, the legendary Greek galley, shown in profile sailing across stylized waves rendered along the lower margin, with a schematic outline map of the Black Sea region occupying the upper field behind the vessel. A small cartouche to the right of center features a miniature rendering of the Golden Fleece as a secondary motif. The date '2006' appears above the ship in the upper field. The circular legend along the upper periphery reads in Georgian script at left and in Latin capitals at right: 'GEORGIA'. At the base of the design, a framed tablet bears the denomination '300' followed by the Georgian script 'ლარი' and 'LARI' in Latin characters. |
