| 背面描述 | A finely detailed scene depicting a proud rooster standing alert to the right, accompanied by a hen and two chicks in the lower field, set against a background of leafy foliage and flowering plants to the right. The Chinese character 雞 (Rooster) appears in the upper left field, and the Perth Mint's P mintmark is positioned at the left edge. The curved inscription YEAR OF THE ROOSTER arcs along the lower border, rendered in an elegant serif script. The overall composition is executed in high relief within a recessed inner field framed by a raised border. |

Perth Mint's 10-kilogram silver issues in this lunar series are produced in extremely limited quantities — typically fewer than 20 pieces per year globally — making secondary market appearances genuinely rare rather than commercially contrived. The Rooster is the tenth animal in the twelve-year Chinese zodiac cycle, and 2017 also marked the conclusion of Perth's second full lunar series, a program that began in 2008 after the original series ran from 1996 to 2007.
The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was introduced to Australian coinage in 2015 following the standard inter-Commonwealth transition process.
