| Obverse description | Central view of the Cathedral of St. James (Katedrala sv. Jakova) in Šibenik, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The Yugoslav state emblem — a torch with a flame encircled by a wreath — appears in the upper right of the field. The bilingual legend in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, reading 'SFR JUGOSLAVIJA' and 'СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА', arcs along the left and right rims respectively. The denomination '300' appears prominently in large numerals at the lower center, flanked by the currency designations 'ДИНАРА', 'DINARA', and 'DINARJEV' in the lower field. The date '1978' and the mint mark 'AM' are inscribed at the upper left, with 'ŠIBENIK' noted below the cathedral. |

| Reverse description | Left-facing bust of Josip Broz Tito in high relief, depicted in a plain field with no adornment, conveying a stern and authoritative portrait. The circular legend around the rim reads 'JOSIP BROZ TITO - POKROVITELJ VIII MEDITERANSKIH IGARA', identifying Tito as the patron of the VIII Mediterranean Games. At the lower portion of the reverse, the inscription '·SPLIT 1979·' denotes the host city and year of the games. The overall design is austere and monumental, consistent with Yugoslav commemorative coinage of the period. |
