| 裏面の説明 | Central design features the royal emblem of the Golden Jubilee ceremony, comprising a crowned royal privy seal flanked symmetrically by two elephants facing inward, each surmounted by a seven-tiered Chhatra ceremonial parasol. The Thai numeral ๕๐ (50) appears prominently, denoting the fiftieth year of the reign. Below the central emblem, a ribbon bears the commemorative motto inscriptions in Thai script. The denomination 300 Baht is also inscribed in Thai script along the lower periphery, with the country name Thailand and the Gregorian and Buddhist Era dates of the jubilee celebration. |

Issued to mark Bhumibol Adulyadej's fiftieth year on the throne — the longest reign of any monarch in Thai history at that point — this coin was part of a broader commemorative program that included gold issues and a globally televised ceremony attended by over forty foreign heads of state. The jubilee fell on June 9, 1996, exactly five decades after his formal coronation following the disputed death of his brother Ananda, Rama VIII, whose fatal shooting in 1946 remains officially unresolved.
