Obverse description Central field features a stylized depiction of the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970 in Gdańsk, rendered as a tall cross rising from a fragmented, angular base, evoking themes of sacrifice and solidarity. Superimposed at the lower centre is the crowned Polish eagle, the national emblem, with wings displayed and head turned to the right. The denomination '30 ZŁ' is inscribed in the lower field, flanking the eagle to left and right. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcs along the upper periphery, with the year '2010' positioned to the right. The mint mark 'MW' appears within the design field.

Reverse description The reverse displays the iconic logotype of the Solidarność (Solidarity) trade union movement rendered in its characteristic bold, flowing script, occupying the centre of the field. Above the logotype, a small flag motif is incorporated into the lettering, a direct reference to the original Solidarity emblem designed in 1980. The large numeral '1980' is rendered in oversized, three-dimensional block digits across the lower portion of the field, emphasising the founding year of the movement. The upper legend 'POLSKI SIERPIEŃ' (Polish August) is inscribed in capital letters along the upper arc of the coin. The overall composition conveys the historical and cultural significance of the August 1980 strikes that gave rise to the Solidarity movement.
