Beschrijving voorzijde A cartographic depiction of Turkey occupies the central field, overlaid with three diagonal lines indicating the path of totality of the solar eclipse of 29 March 2006. Fifteen dots mark the eclipse's trajectory across the map, with thirteen city names — including Antalya, Konya, Karaman, Aksaray, Kırşehir, Nevşehir, Kayseri, Yozgat, Amasya, Sivas, Tokat, Ordu, and Giresun — fanning outward from below the map in a radiating arrangement. The denomination '30 YENİ TÜRK LİRASI' appears in the lower field. The outer annular border carries a applied gold-toned coating, with the legends 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ', 'TAM GÜNEŞ TUTULMASI', and 'TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE' inscribed around the periphery.

Beschrijving keerzijde The central disk of the reverse is finished with a black enamel inlay, evoking the fully eclipsed sun in totality with the solar corona effect. The date of the eclipse, '29 MART 2006', is inscribed in the lower field beneath the central motif. As on the obverse, the outer annular border is applied with a gold-toned coating, creating a striking two-tone contrast between the dark central field and the luminous outer ring — a deliberate artistic reference to the phenomenon of totality.
