Reverse description Central nickel-plated steel field portrays two depictions of a pig: a full-bodied pig foraging amid grasses to the left, and a circular inset portrait of a pig's head in profile to the right. A world map in low relief occupies the upper portion of the field, symbolising the international character of the lunar calendar series. The date 2011 appears in Latin numerals along the lower edge of the inner circle. The outer brass-plated ring features an ornate scrolling foliate border with stylised animal motifs.
