Obverse description Within the brass-plated steel centre, a detailed depiction of a traditional Korean multi-tiered pavilion (likely the Pyongyang Namdaemun gate or similar historic structure) occupies the central field, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished background. A Korean-script legend arcs around the upper portion of the inner disc, reading the issuer name, with the denomination '30 WON' inscribed in Latin characters at the base of the centre. The outer nickel-plated steel ring is elaborately decorated with intricately engraved floral and foliate scrollwork in low relief.
