附加信息	The Friendship Art Festival was a recurring Pyongyang event that brought foreign performance troupes to the DPRK, used explicitly to project an image of international solidarity during a period when North Korea was losing ground in its rivalry with the South. The 1989 issue coincided with the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students, hosted in Pyongyang that summer — the largest and most expensive event the country had ever staged, reportedly costing billions of won and involving over 22,000 participants from 177 countries. KM#26 was struck for the collector export market, not domestic circulation.
