Beschrijving voorzijde Central field displays the Mansfeld arms — a rampant lion within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, abbreviated in Latin, references the three co-ruling counts: Volrat VI, Philip Ernest, and Albert Wolff. The coin exhibits characteristics typical of the Kipper und Wipper emergency coinage period, with irregular flan shape and crude hammered strike.

Aanvullende informatie

Mansfeld-Artern's 30 Kreuzer issues of 1621–22 are products of the Kipper- und Wipperzeit, the currency debasement crisis that swept the Holy Roman Empire in the early Thirty Years' War. Petty lords, bishops, and free cities raced to remint good coin into debased billon, pocketing the difference before the inevitable collapse. Mansfeld was among the most aggressive participants — the county's copper and silver mining interests gave it both the metal supply and the infrastructure to flood regional markets with underweight multiples.

The three-count joint issue reflects the fractured inheritance structure of the Mansfeld territories, which had been partitioned and re-partitioned across cadet lines for decades.
