| Reverse description | Central shield bearing the arms of Galicia and Lodomeria — depicting a crowned raven and three towers respectively — surmounted by an elaborate imperial crown. The shield is supported on the left by a rearing griffin and on the right by a rearing lion, both facing inward. The surrounding Latin legend reads ARCHID AUS DUX OSW ZAT, with the date divided on either side of the crowned shield. Below the shield, a tied laurel wreath frames the denomination 30 KR in the lower field, with the mintmaster initials ICFA (Johann Carl Faby) inscribed at the very bottom of the reverse. |

| Additional information |
The Lemberg mint — established in what is now Lviv, Ukraine — operated under Habsburg authority during the period immediately following the First Partition of Poland in 1772, when Austria absorbed Galicia and Lodomeria. These 30 Kreuzer pieces were struck specifically to supply coinage to a newly acquired territory with no prior Austrian monetary infrastructure, a practical necessity of annexation rather than any deliberate numismatic program.
Output across the three-year run was substantial but uneven, with the mint still calibrating to Habsburg standards. The Eypeltauer reference distinguishes multiple die marriages across this emission.
