| Obverse description | Veiled and draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, set within a lozenge (rhombus) frame in the field. The numeral '30' appears in the exergue below the portrait. The surrounding legend, arranged in four segments separated by the angles of the lozenge, reads the full imperial titulature: MARIA THERESIA D:G·R·IMP· HU·BO·REG·, abbreviated for Maria Theresia, by the Grace of God, Empress of the Romans, Queen of Hungary and Bohemia. The effigy reflects the mature, widowed portrait style adopted after 1765, rendered in a refined baroque engraving tradition. |
