30 Kreuzers - Frederick

Frederick III of Brandenburg-Bayreuth ruled from 1711 until his death in 1763, and the late 1730s saw his administration grappling with the financial pressures common to smaller German principalities caught between Austrian and Prussian spheres of influence. The 30 Kreuzer denomination was a workhorse of fractional silver coinage in the Holy Roman Empire, frequently debased or revalued at the convenience of territorial rulers with limited mint resources.

Brandenburg-Bayreuth's mint output during this window was modest, and KM#175 is not among the series' common survivors.
