Reverse description A rampant lion to left occupies the central field, holding a sword in its right forepaw and a crowned oval escutcheon in its left, the shield displaying the quartered arms of Bavaria and the Palatinate with a central inescutcheon bearing the imperial orb. Two collar chains of orders encircle the shield. The numeral 30 appears in a cartouche at the base of the design, with the two-digit date divided by the cartouche below. The Latin legend runs along the outer periphery within a beaded border.
