| Aanvullende informatie |
Obwalden was one of the smallest and most isolated of the Swiss forest cantons, and its independent coinage issues were sparse — gaps of decades between types were common. The 30 Kreuzer of 1725–26 falls in a period when many cantons were reasserting monetary independence in response to chronic shortages of small silver throughout the Confederation, a condition worsened by French trade disruptions following the War of the Spanish Succession.
HMZ 1#2-734A documents only a two-year window of production, suggesting a targeted, limited emission rather than a sustained monetary program.
