| Obverse description | A winged Genius figure is depicted in dynamic pose at center, nude and facing slightly right, grasping a caduceus-like staff, with large spread wings flanking the body. To either side of the Genius's legs stand two ornate heraldic shields: on the left, the imperial eagle of Nuremberg, and on the right, the quartered arms of the city. The date appears in the exergue below the shields. The circular Latin legend reads MON·NOV·ARGENT·REIPVB·NORIMBERG around the entire field, all within a beaded border. |
