Obverse description Two adjacent heraldic shields displayed side by side in the field: at left, the imperial eagle of Nuremberg, and at right, the diagonally divided arms of the city (Zollernschild). The mintmaster's initials F+F appear between the shields. The legend RESPVB + NVREMBERG occupies the upper portion of the coin, while the Roman numeral date M·D·C·XI is inscribed in the exergue below. The coin features a beaded border along the rim.
