| Obverse description | The obverse is set within a decorative border of floral and berry vine motifs rendered in black letterpress. The central field carries the authorizing text in Gothic Fraktur script, beginning with an ornate illuminated initial 'D', stating that the Marktkommune Weitersfelden issues this Notgeld by resolution of 12 June 1920 for a total of 15,000 Kronen, with validity noted as 'Giltig bis 31. Dezember 1920.' A facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister appears at lower right, with the anti-counterfeiting legend 'Nachahmung wird bestraft' at lower left. |
