Obverse description The note is divided into two panels within a hand-drawn zigzag border: the left vignette shows two figures in traditional Tyrolean folk costume — a man in a hat and a woman — clasping hands before a faint mountain silhouette, with a four-line patriotic verse in Gothic script set in a caption box beneath. The right panel carries the large denomination '30H' in decorative red script at the head, followed by the issuing text and validity date in black Gothic letterpress, above the manuscript signature of Bürgermeister Josef Hofinger and the printer's imprint 'WAGNER, INNSBRUCK' at the lower right.
Obverse lettering 30h

der Gemd. St. Johann in Tirol. Giltig bis 28. Feber 1921
Der Bürgermeister: Josef Hofinger
WAGNER, INNSBRUCK.
Stolz und siegreich wirst du wieder wehen
Deutsches Banner, über unsre Welt,
Wenn wir Deutsche nur zusammen stehen
Einig von der Etsch bis an den Belt!
(Translation: 30h Voucher for Thirty Heller of the Municipality of St. Johann in Tyrol. Valid until 28 February 1921. The Mayor: Josef Hofinger. Proudly and victoriously you will wave again, German banner, over our world, when we Germans only stand together, united from the Adige to the Belt!)
Reverse description A colour lithograph of an Alpine pasture hut (Alm-Hütte) occupies a central arched frame flanked by edelweiss sprays, with the Tyrolean eagle coat of arms at upper left and the St. Johann municipal arms — a church tower — at upper right. Denomination tablets bearing '30' in white numerals on dark blue grounds are positioned at the lower left and right corners, while a red horizontal band across the bottom carries the place name in Gothic script; the notation '4. AUFLAGE' (4th edition) appears in small type at the lower left margin outside the main border.
