Reverse description The reverse depicts the episode of the enchanted horse Clavileño from Part II of Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote, based on an engraving by Joaquín Ballester preserved in the Real Academia Española. Don Quixote and Sancho Panza are shown mounted on the wooden horse, blindfolded, as courtiers surrounding them fan the air to simulate flight. The scene is rendered in a detailed, engraved illustrative style faithful to the original Baroque source material. The denomination 30 EURO and the inscriptions EL QUIJOTE II and the commemorative dates 1615 - 2015 appear within the design, along with the mint mark M.
