| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Francesco I of the Two Sicilies facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair curling at the nape of the neck and sideburns. The portrait is executed in a restrained Neoclassical style, with a plain truncation. The circular Latin legend reads FRANCISCVS I. DEI GRATIA REX around the periphery, with the date 1826 placed in the lower exergue beneath the bust. The entire design is enclosed within a decorative zigzag or wave-pattern inner border. |
