| Opmerkingen |
Antigua & Barbuda gained independence from Britain on 1 November 1981, and this gold foil novelty piece was issued to mark that event. It is not legal tender in any conventional sense — "30 Dollars" is a nominal face value assigned for commemorative purposes, not a denomination that ever circulated or was redeemable at face. The title "The Perfect Relationship" refers to the proclaimed harmony between the twin-island nation and the Crown under the new constitutional arrangement, with Antigua & Barbuda becoming an independent state within the Commonwealth.
Gold foil issues of this type were produced for the collector and gift market, not the banking system.
