Obverse description The sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Jody Clark, occupies the central field in right-facing profile. The Queen is depicted wearing the George IV State Diadem, a pearl drop earring, and a pearl necklace, rendered in fine high-relief detail. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field and AUSTRALIA along the right periphery, with the denomination 30 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower arc, all separated by raised dots. The engraver's initials JC appear to the lower left of the portrait at the truncation.

Reverse description Two laughing kookaburras (Dacelo novaeguineae) are depicted perched on bare branches in the central field, one larger bird facing left in the upper left portion and a smaller bird below right with its beak raised upward, rendered in fine naturalistic relief by Wade Robinson. Native Australian waratah (Telopea) blooms and foliage occupy the lower field, framing the composition. The bold stylised legend KOOKABURRA arcs along the right periphery, while the inscription 2023 1 KILO 9999 SILVER is placed along the upper left field. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the right of the lower branch, and the engraver's initials WR are visible at the base of the central design.
