Reverse description A highly detailed and dynamically rendered Chinese dragon coils and twists sinuously across the mirrored proof field, its scaled body weaving through stylised auspicious clouds rendered in high relief. The dragon's fierce head is depicted in the lower portion of the design, facing left with an open mouth and prominent horns, while its clawed forelimbs and undulating tail extend throughout the composition. To the right of centre, the large Chinese character 龍 (meaning Dragon) is prominently displayed alongside the Latin legend YEAR OF THE DRAGON. The fineness and weight specifications 1 kg .999 Ag appear in the lower field, with the engraver's initials BS visible in the upper right area of the design.
