| Obverse description | Sixth definitive effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicted in right-facing bust wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The sovereign's name and issuing authority appear in the surrounding legend, together with the denomination, and the engraver's initials 'JC' are present in the field. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a finely frosted field typical of Perth Mint bullion coinage. |

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle series is among Perth Mint's longest-running silver bullion programs, launched in 1992 and maintaining annual releases with consistent collector demand. The one-kilogram format carries a face value purely nominal against spot — a legal fiction Perth Mint maintains to satisfy Australian currency law while the coin circulates exclusively as a bullion vehicle.
The 6th Portrait of Elizabeth II, sculpted by Jody Clark and introduced across Commonwealth coinage from 2015, appeared on Australian issues somewhat later than other realms. It was the final effigy used before her death in September 2022 rendered the entire portrait series complete.
