The one-third troy ounce format — unusual in a field dominated by one-ounce and fractional-half issues — was a deliberate commercial calculation to hit a lower entry price point without competing directly against the flagship full-ounce offering.

The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was adopted by the Perth Mint on Australian issues from 2019 onward.
