背面描述 A Golden Retriever depicted in full profile standing to the left, rendered in fine detail across a large kilo-format flan. The date 2006 and the Chinese character 狗 (Dog) appear above the central motif, referencing the Lunar Year of the Dog in the Chinese zodiac. Below the design, the inscriptions denote the coin's weight and fineness. The mintmark P for the Perth Mint is also present within the legend.

附加信息

Australia's Year of the Dog kilo silver series from Perth targeted the Southeast Asian investment and gift market, where lunar-themed bullion carried genuine cultural weight beyond collector novelty. The 2006 issue marked the first lunar kilo in what would become a long-running format for the mint, and early series pieces have appreciated considerably as complete twelve-coin kilo sets became a collecting benchmark.

Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait of Elizabeth II, introduced in 1998, appears here in its later years of use — Perth would eventually transition to a fifth portrait in 2015.
