| 背面描述 | A Golden Retriever depicted in full profile standing to the left, rendered in fine detail across a large kilo-format flan. The date 2006 and the Chinese character 狗 (Dog) appear above the central motif, referencing the Lunar Year of the Dog in the Chinese zodiac. Below the design, the inscriptions denote the coin's weight and fineness. The mintmark P for the Perth Mint is also present within the legend. |

Australia's Year of the Dog kilo silver series from Perth targeted the Southeast Asian investment and gift market, where lunar-themed bullion carried genuine cultural weight beyond collector novelty. The 2006 issue marked the first lunar kilo in what would become a long-running format for the mint, and early series pieces have appreciated considerably as complete twelve-coin kilo sets became a collecting benchmark.
Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait of Elizabeth II, introduced in 1998, appears here in its later years of use — Perth would eventually transition to a fifth portrait in 2015.
