背面描述 The reverse features a finely detailed, high-relief close-up portrait of a koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) facing slightly left, its characteristically large, tufted ears prominently rendered with individually engraved fur striations. The animal is depicted resting among eucalyptus leaves, which occupy the lower portion of the design field. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark appears to the left of the central device, with the engraver's initials MG inscribed below the koala. The legend AUSTRALIAN KOALA arcs along the upper border, while the inscription 2014 1 KILO 999 SILVER is placed along the lower border.

附加信息

Australia's 1-kilogram silver Koala series has been issued by the Perth Mint since 1993, and the 2014 edition follows the annual reverse design rotation that distinguishes each year's strike — a deliberate policy to encourage year-on-year collector demand rather than a single static design. Mintages on the kilogram format are capped well below the smaller fractional issues, making individual years meaningfully harder to source in original capsule condition.

Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait of Elizabeth II, introduced across Australian coinage from 1999, appears here in its later years of use before Jody Clark's fifth portrait was adopted in 2015.
