Additional information

Perth Mint's annual lunar gold series traces its lineage to 1996, making it one of the longer-running bullion programs of the modern era. The "Prosperity" designation within the 2024 lunar cycle is a marketing sub-variant — the core issue is simply the standard one-quarter ounce Year of the Dragon release, identical in specifications to its predecessors in the second and third twelve-year rotations of the series.

Charles III's effigy, by sculptor King Dong-A Wyon, appeared on Australian coinage following the Queen's death in September 2022 — this 2023-dated issue is among the earlier Perth Mint productions to carry it.
