30 Centavos Pattern

Portuguese Timor's 1958 pattern coinage was produced as part of a broader effort to rationalize the colonial monetary system across Portugal's overseas territories under the Salazar regime. Patterns from this series were struck in multiple metals and denominations to test both alloy suitability and public reception before committing to full production runs. This brass 30 centavos never advanced to circulation — the denomination was ultimately abandoned, leaving pattern survivors as the only physical record of the proposal.
