| Reverse description | The reverse presents a vibrant colorized cartoon depiction of a young tiger cub, rendered in a playful, contemporary illustrative style and enhanced with holographic iridescent color application. The cub is shown curled in a joyful pose, holding an ice cream cone, surrounded by oversized stylized raindrops and lush green leaves referencing the Rain Water solar term. A small snail and a rabbit hand gesture appear in the lower field, adding whimsical narrative detail characteristic of this children's story series. The denomination 3元 is inscribed in bold relief at the lower left, while the solar term name 雨水 (Rain Water) appears in the upper right corner of the field. |

| Additional information |
The Twenty-Four Solar Terms series draws from the ancient Chinese lunisolar calendar system formally inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2016. Rain Water (雨水) marks the point when temperatures rise sufficiently for precipitation to shift from snow to rain — falling on or around February 19 each year — and has governed agricultural planning across the Yellow River basin for over two millennia. The People's Bank issued this as a small-denomination collector piece within a broader multi-year commemorative program rather than any circulating monetary need.
