| 背面描述 | Two cartoon-style tigers rendered in colorized relief occupy the central field: a larger tiger seated in the left foreground facing right, and a smaller tiger cub perched atop a large peony bloom in the upper right, playfully raising one paw. The background features an iridescent holographic finish surrounding the sculpted peony blossom in high relief. The solar term designation 谷雨 (Grain Rain) is inscribed vertically in the upper left field. The denomination 3元 appears in the lower right field. |

The Twenty-Four Solar Terms — a calendar system codifying seasonal agricultural rhythms developed over centuries of observation in the Yellow River basin — were inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2016. Grain Rain, the sixth term, marks the final spring rainfall critical to cereal crops before summer heat sets in. The People's Bank launched this commemorative series as a direct cultural response to that inscription, pairing each term with its associated folk narrative.
At 8 grams in .999 silver, these are among the smaller struck pieces in the PBC's modern commemorative output — deliberately modest in scale for the series format.
