备注

The British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) tokens and notes occupy an oddly marginal place in occupation currency history — technically military scrip, not legal tender in Japan, and not recognized by the broader Allied occupation administration under SCAP. The Australian Army Canteen Service issued these notes exclusively for use within BCOF canteen facilities, keeping Australian servicemen's spending power corralled away from the Japanese civilian economy at a time when yen inflation was severe and fraternization through commerce was actively discouraged.

Miller, the Melbourne commercial printer, produced the series without the high-security features typical of military currency — a reflection of the notes' purely internal, non-convertible function rather than any oversight.
