Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of Maximilian, Archduke of Austria and Administrator of the Teutonic Order, standing in ornate ceremonial robes and imperial crown, holding a sword point-down in his right hand and an orb in his left. To the left stands a crowned lion atop a heraldic shield; to the right appears a plumed helmet above an elaborate cartouche. The date 1614 appears in the lower field. A beaded inner border frames the composition, with the circumferential Latin legend reading PRVSS·ADMI·MAX·D·G·AR·AND·C.
