Above, a radiant sun-burst emanates from an oval glory containing a Hebrew divine name (Tetragrammaton), with a dove in flight below representing the Holy Spirit. The peripheral legend reads PRO FIDE ET PATRIA, separated by floral sprigs in the lower field. |

A small crowned electoral monogram device appears at the top of the field above the text. The inscription records the inauguration date as 1 November 1661 in Roman numerals M.DC.LXI., with Latin abbreviations and punctuation separating each line. The border is plain with a toothed inner rim, and no figurative devices appear aside from the monogram at the apex. |
