| Beschrijving voorzijde | St. George, depicted in full armour and mounted on a rearing horse, thrusts a lance downward into a prostrate dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the knight's armour and the horse's trappings. A continuous French-language legend encircles the design, reading partially along the lower rim in inverted orientation as was characteristic of Thaler-sized presentation pieces. The scene is executed in the classicising Baroque style typical of Saxon medallic art of the later seventeenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a nine-line French-language dedicatory inscription set within an open field, entirely enclosed by a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon. The text pays tribute to Charles II of England in his capacity as Sovereign of the Order of the Garter, citing his full royal titles. The Roman numeral date MDCLXXVIII appears in the final line of the inscription. The wreath border is rendered with careful naturalistic detail, with individual leaves and berries clearly articulated. The overall composition is typical of Saxon commemorative Schauthalers issued in honour of foreign sovereigns. |
