Beschrijving keerzijde A large eight-pointed Maltese cross occupies the center of the coin, with the date numerals distributed in the four angles between the arms of the cross. Aanvullende informatie

Nicolas Cotoner served as Grand Master from 1663 to 1680, a tenure defined largely by the massive fortification program that produced the Cottonera Lines — the enormous defensive walls enclosing the Three Cities of Malta, funded in significant part through Cotoner's personal fortune. The 3 Tari denomination was a workhorse of Hospitaller coinage, circulating alongside the Order's extensive charitable and military operations in the central Mediterranean.

KM#101 corresponds to a narrow three-year window within Cotoner's reign, before later die revisions.
