Obverse description Central field features an ornate floriated cross with the provincial coat of arms of Zeeland at its center, the whole enclosed within a quadrilobe frame. The circular Latin legend runs along the outer margin, with a two-digit date, when present, appearing at the conclusion of the legend, and the mintmark positioned at the top of the design. The overall execution reflects the characteristic hammered craftsmanship of the late sixteenth-century Low Countries monetary tradition.
