Obverse description Draped and armored bust of King Frederik III with flowing long hair, facing right, set within a beaded inner circle. The royal effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque portraiture style typical of mid-17th-century Danish-Norwegian coinage. A continuous Latin legend encircles the bust within the beaded ring, identifying the king by title and numeral. A secondary beaded border runs along the outer rim, framing the entire obverse field.
