Beschrijving keerzijde The central field bears a block of Tibetan inscription surmounted by a stylised cloud motif and beneath which appears the triratna (triple gem) symbol. The entire central design is framed by four additional Buddhist auspicious symbols: a white parasol, a conch shell, a dharma wheel, and an endless knot. Tibetan legends denoting the sexagenary cycle, year, and denomination are distributed around the border.

Aanvullende informatie

Tibet's copper coinage of the 1940s was produced under increasingly strained conditions as the Lhasa government navigated the competing pressures of Chinese Nationalist claims and British Indian influence. The 3 Sho denomination was struck at the Dode mint, which operated with inconsistent equipment and variable alloy quality — accounting for the wide variation in planchet color and surface texture seen across survivors. Strike registration is frequently off-center, a known characteristic of this type rather than an exceptional flaw.
