| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, third Druk Gyalpo (Dragon King) of Bhutan, depicted wearing the traditional Bhutanese raven crown (Druk Gyalpo's ceremonial headdress) adorned with an intricate decorative band, and dressed in ornate ceremonial robes. Tibetan script legend arcs around the upper and left fields, flanking the royal portrait. The dates '1926-1952' appear in Latin numerals along the lower portion of the field, referencing the king's birth year and accession year respectively. |
