| 表面の説明 | Central device depicts the double-headed eagle of the Bank of Russia, shown without crowns and displayed with wings spread, set against a mirror-polished proof field. The denomination '3 РУБЛЯ' arcs along the upper legend, flanked by a beaded inner border, with the date '1992 г.' to the right. The issuer's name 'БАНК РОССИИ' is inscribed in Cyrillic along the lower arc. Metallic specifications 'Ag 900' and the weight '31,1' appear in the lower field to either side of the eagle's tail, with the Leningrad Mint privy mark (ЛМД) visible beneath the eagle. |

Issued in 1992 as part of Russia's first commemorative silver program following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, this coin was struck at a moment when the central bank was simultaneously managing currency collapse and rebuilding institutional identity from scratch. The Trinity Cathedral in Sergiyev Posad — seat of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate and among the most politically charged religious sites in the country — had been returned to the Church only four years earlier after decades as a Soviet museum complex.
The .900 fine silver blanks were produced at the Moscow Mint under conditions of significant logistical disruption, and early-run pieces occasionally show uneven surface preparation.
