| Reverse description | The reverse commemorates the 300th anniversary of the Saint Petersburg Mint and is composed in a layered, multi-plane design combining frosted and mirror-polished surfaces. At the top, a detailed engraving of the historic mint building facade is rendered in fine relief against a stippled background. Centred in the field is a representation of a historic screw press, flanked on either side by depictions of two historically significant coins: to the left, a medal-style coin bearing the portrait of Peter the Great with a Cyrillic legend identifying him as Emperor, and to the right, a Soviet-era coin dated 1924 featuring a worker at an anvil. The legend САНКТ-ПЕТЕРБУРГСКИЙ МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР arcs along the upper rim in spaced Cyrillic capitals, while the large numeral 300 and the word ЛЕТ (Years) are prominently displayed in the lower field to mark the tercentenary. |
