A semicircular legend reading «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) is positioned below the eagle. Aanvullende informatie

Saint Nicholas Naval Cathedral in Kronstadt — the one commemorated here — was completed in 1913 after nearly a decade of construction and served as the central church of the Imperial Russian Navy. Following the revolution it was stripped, closed, and converted to a cinema. Restoration only began in earnest in the early 2000s, making the 2005 issue date a deliberate acknowledgment of ongoing rehabilitation work rather than a completed anniversary.
